Patrick Derocher is an associate in Arnold & Porter's Chicago office and a member of the firm's general litigation group. They maintain a broad commercial litigation practice, in addition to a pro bono practice that focuses on civil rights and LGBTQ+ matters. Patrick has experience representing clients as diverse as pharmaceutical companies, government contractors, and private universities, in addition to individuals challenging police practices and laws targeting transgender individuals.
Mr. Derocher is a graduate of the New York University School of Law, where they served as a senior executive editor for the NYU Journal of Legislation and Public Policy, and a political action co-chair for OUTLaw. At NYU, Mr. Derocher received the Thomas Stoddard Award for the greatest contribution by a third-year editor to the Journal of Legislation and Public Policy. Prior to law school, Mr. Derocher worked as a political aide and management consultant for several years.

- Chief Investment Officer and co-owner of registered investment adviser in criminal, SEC, CFTC and federal and states securities litigation matters involving allegations of inflated valuations of highly illiquid exotic securities, false financial reporting and obstruction of justice.
- Chemical manufacturer employees related to investigation of the company by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Chemical Safety Board related to a plant explosion that killed four individuals.
