Siyi Gu focuses on compliance matters, including anti-corruption compliance, data protection and cybersecurity, and trade compliance. She advises clients on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other anti-corruption laws, internal investigations, responding to government inquiries, and compliance due diligence. Siyi also advises clients on issues related to data protection and cybersecurity such as cross-border data transfer and the collection of personal information. Siyi also has experience in advising clients on issues related to trade compliance, including analysis of Chinese and U.S. trade sanctions issues. Siyi advises both multinational and Chinese companies in multiple industries, with a focus on the life sciences, automotive, and telecommunications sectors.
Prior to joining Arnold & Porter, Siyi worked in the Shanghai offices of other leading international law firms. Siyi is a native speaker of Mandarin and fluent in English.
