Giselle Joffre defends executives and corporations in high-stakes, government investigations, including investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission. She has practiced as a litigator for over twenty years having started her career defending complex commercial, mutual fund, financial services and False Claims Act litigation, as well as corporate crime. She went on to serve as a federal prosecutor and now uses her prosecutorial experience to best advocate for her clients opposite the government. Giselle’s broad base of litigation experience positions her to successfully defend clients in criminal and civil cases in the state and federal courts. 

Giselle also has extensive experience leading corporate investigations. She has conducted corporate compliance investigations on a global scale, including managing a multi-year global federal monitorship. Giselle has also led investigations into employee claims of sexual harassment, race and gender discrimination, and workplace bullying. Her sensitive investigations have involved allegations that implicate C-suite executives and board members, across a variety of industries including the Sports & Entertainment, Fine & Performing Arts, Education, Restaurant, Transportation, Hospital and Life Sciences industries.

Over her career, Giselle has gained in-depth experience in the Life Sciences and defends clients against criminal healthcare fraud charges and in False Claims Act investigations, litigation, and settlement negotiations. Her Life Sciences clients have included insurance plans, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, pharmacies, hospitals, physician groups, healthcare providers, and diagnostic and genetics testing companies. 

After graduating from law school, Giselle began her career as a litigation associate at another global law firm based in Boston. She served as a Special Assistant District Attorney in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Boston, investigating civil health care fraud, prosecuting various types of criminal fraud, including financial crimes, as well as defending the United States against civil employment, immigration, personal injury, and prisoner litigation claims.

Giselle speaks frequently and is actively engaged in bar association activities at the federal and local levels on healthcare fraud issues. She currently serves as a Council Member of the Boston Bar Association.
