Maya Kouassi has experience practicing complex civil litigation, white-collar defense and investigations, as well as national arbitrations. She has also assisted in providing advice to corporate clients on their corporate compliance programs. In addition, Maya maintains a robust pro bono practice related to matters of gun violence prevention and criminal defense.

Maya received her law degree from CUNY School of Law where she was President of the Black Law Students Association (“BLSA”) and Law Review staff editor. She worked in the CUNY Law Defenders Clinic representing indigent clients facing criminal charges and compiled an application for gubernatorial clemency. She received her B.A. in Public Relations from The Pennsylvania State University, where she also double minored in English and French.
