Zoe Rachael Staum's practice focuses on antitrust and competition issues in mergers and acquisitions, civil government investigations, and litigation. She has experience before the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), as well as state and federal court. Zoe also advises clients on antitrust questions, including pre-merger analysis and antitrust compliance. Zoe represents clients across a variety of industries, including healthcare, life sciences, technology, manufacturing, and media.
She maintains an active pro bono practice. Zoe recently served as co-lead counsel for the nation’s leading nonprofit organization promoting mental health awareness for young adults in a favorably resolved dispute. Previously, Zoe was lead counsel in a successful asylum trial.
Prior to joining Arnold & Porter, Zoe served as a law clerk in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Zoe graduated with honors from Columbia Law School, where she was the Managing Editor of the Columbia Journal of Asian Law and a judicial intern in both the Southern District and Eastern District of New York. Prior to law school, Zoe worked as Director of Debate at Truman State University and earned her undergraduate degree from Lafayette College.
