Global Investigations Review Ranks Arnold & Porter Among Top 30 Firms in the World in International Investigations
The London-based Global Investigations Review (GIR) included Arnold & Porter in its 2021 edition of the annual "GIR 30" and "GIR 100," which are lists of the world's top 30 and 100 leading international investigations practices, respectively.
In the report, GIR praised Arnold & Porter’s premier White Collar Defense & Investigations practice, led by partners Marcus Asner and Amy Jeffress. GIR highlighted the practice’s large stable of former federal prosecutors and government officials. The firm’s team of former high-level government attorneys and seasoned litigators provides unparalleled insights and extensive experience in investigations, defense and compliance matters involving the False Claims Act and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, as well as allegations of fraud, money-laundering and trade sanctions violations.
GIR also noted the recent additions to the white collar and investigations team, saying the firm “bolstered its impressive roster of US-based lawyers by hiring a significant number of former public officials over the past year.” These additions include partners Craig Stewart, former Chief Counsel to the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York (SDNY), Jane Norberg, former Chief of the Office of the Whistleblower of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Valarie Hays, former Assistant US Attorney in Chicago, and Michael Kim Krouse, former Assistant US Attorney in the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY).
