The Proposed Revisions to the FTC/DOJ Merger Guidelines: What Do They Mean?
On July 19, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Antitrust Division released a draft update to their Merger Guidelines. The draft guidelines have received significant attention in the press. This event will include a lively discussion with well-known economist Carl Shapiro joining Debbie Feinstein, Chair of Arnold & Porter's Global Antitrust/Competition practice and former Director of the Bureau of Competition at the FTC, and Jonathan Gleklen, Chair of Arnold & Porter's U.S. Antitrust/Competition practice, to discuss the most significant changes that have been proposed.
