‘Rapidly Closing Window’: John Elwood Unpacks Democrats’ Chances of Confirming Biden-Nominated Judges in The National Law Journal

John Elwood, who leads the firm’s Appellate & Supreme Court practice, was quoted in The National Law Journal article, “‘Rapidly Closing Window’: Progressive Groups Urge Senate Votes on Biden’s Judicial Nominees.”

While Senate confirmations of judicial nominees are rare during lame-duck sessions, Elwood expects the upper chamber to confirm some of President Biden’s judicial nominees while the Democrats retain control. But it is “largely a political question on how much Republicans can slow-roll them and whether the votes are there.”
