Arnold & Porter Adds International Arbitration Partner Jun Hee Kim to Seoul Office

WASHINGTON, DC, April 1, 2019 — Arnold & Porter announced today that Jun Hee Kim will be joining the firm as a partner in the International Arbitration practice. He will be resident in Arnold & Porter's Seoul, Korea office. Mr. Kim, who is the former General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Hyundai Heavy Industries, also has experience in private practice both in Korea and Washington, DC.

Mr. Kim advises on international arbitration matters across a broad range of industries including technology, intellectual property, infrastructure, construction, and engineering, and has represented clients in more than 60 arbitrations around the globe. He handles disputes related to M&A transactions, joint ventures, and distributorships, and counsels on international trade, litigation, and criminal matters in foreign jurisdictions.

Mr. Kim is a member of numerous arbitration panels, including: SIAC, DIAC, KLRCA, BAC/BIAC, CAA/Taipei, PIAC, SCMA, and KCAB. He sits on the Korean Government's Arbitration Promotion Advisory Panel and the SIAC's User Council and serves as a Council Member of the HKIAC.

Jun Hee Kim will join James K. Lee and KS Kim in Arnold & Porter's newly opened Seoul office. The office handles matters relating to cross-border intellectual property, M&A, export control, US litigation, antitrust, international arbitration, and international trade.

Mr. Kim received his JD from Georgetown University, MA from the University of Pennsylvania, and BSFS from Georgetown University. He will join Arnold & Porter in mid-April.
