Arnold & Porter Named to The National Law Journal's 2019 'Appellate Hot List'
For the seventh consecutive year, Arnold & Porter has been named to The National Law Journal's "Appellate Hot List." The annual report recognizes 20 firms that have performed significant appellate work during the previous year before the US Supreme Court, federal circuit courts of appeal, and state courts of last resort.
The annual report also features "appellate luminaries" who've achieved key wins in matters before the US Supreme Court and federal courts of appeals. This year, partner Elisabeth Theodore was featured for her work on the groundbreaking Supreme Court case that challenged the United States government's attempt to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census.
Theodore noted teamwork as a key element of Arnold & Porter's appellate success over the past year, and highlighted the recent additions of the group's new chair, partner John Elwood, and partner Allon Kedem.
