Theodore Named to The National Law Journal's 2020 'DC Rising Stars' List
Arnold & Porter partner Elisabeth Theodore was named to The National Law Journal's 2020 "DC Rising Stars" list. The annual accolade honors attorneys who have "excelled on some of the biggest stages" and secured "high-dollar victories" for "high-profile clients." In the supplement, honored attorneys share their biggest successes in practice, keys to their success, and lessons they've learned while practicing law.
Theodore, who focuses on appellate and complex civil litigation in state and federal courts, points to her recent success on partisan gerrymandering challenges under state constitutions in the state courts of Pennsylvania and North Carolina as her biggest win in practice. In the "Rising Stars" supplement, Theodore notes that "these were precedent-setting victories with national implications and led to the redrawing of the congressional districts in Pennsylvania and the congressional and state legislative districts in North Carolina."
Theodore was also recognized as a Law360 Rising Star earlier this year in its report on attorneys under 40 "whose legal accomplishments transcend their age." Theodore's Law360 profile also highlights her work on the partisan gerrymandering cases and their far-reaching results.
