Daily Journal Names Berta to 2021 'Top IP Attorneys' List

Arnold & Porter Intellectual Property partner Michael Berta was named to the Daily Journal's 2021 list of "Top IP Attorneys." The special supplement annually recognizes California's "best lawyers" and highlights their work on significant intellectual property issues.

Berta, a "senior member of Arnold & Porter's west coast IP team," emphasized that pandemic-related stay-at-home orders have "highlighted the importance of teamwork" in ensuring that client needs are met during virtual operating status. In addition to discussing Berta's work-life balance during the pandemic, Daily Journal noted Berta's continued representation of companies in both patent and trade secret litigation across a wide range of technologies. Berta's clients include Adobe Inc., several Adobe customers and Google, among other hardware, software and web-based services companies. Berta also discussed his longtime client Crocs Inc., who he has represented in district court, before the International Trade Commission and with Customs, and in design and utility patent matters against import shoe manufacturers.

Berta was previously named to the Daily Journal's 2017 edition of the list.
