McMillan Receives Bronx Chamber of Commerce 2021 Chamber Partnership Award

Arnold & Porter Pro Bono Counsel Lucy McMillan will receive the Bronx Chamber of Commerce’s Chamber Partnership Award for her “outstanding impact” helping communities in the Bronx through challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. McMillan will be honored at the Chamber’s Annual Gala at Marina Del Rey in the Bronx on September 30, 2021. 
 
McMillan, who is a full-time pro bono professional in charge of managing Arnold & Porter’s pro bono impact work and litigation efforts, will be celebrated for organizing programs to help small businesses in the Bronx stay in business during the pandemic. Under McMillan’s leadership, numerous Arnold & Porter attorneys provided free webinars on topics ranging from government loans and grants to employees returning to work. The programs made important information available to businesses that otherwise could not afford counsel. The Chamber notes that McMillan’s work has put the Bronx on “a steady path to recovery.” 
 
McMillan also handles and supervises individual pro bono matters, with a focus on immigration, education, gun violence prevention and civil rights matters.
