Cantor Named a 2021 ‘Power Player’ by Sports Business Journal
Arnold & Porter partner Daniel Cantor was named to Sports Business Journal’s 2021 list of "Power Players" for his outstanding sports law work. The report compiled feedback from industry leaders on the firms and individuals that "stood out for their representation in sports business."
Cantor, who has extensive experience litigating complex matters, was recognized for his recent win on behalf of a consortium of sports leagues in litigation related to the allocation of statutory royalties paid for the retransmission of broadcast signals. The win represents the largest award issued by the Copyright Royalty Board under Section 111 of the Copyright Act in its 40-year history.
Cantor regularly represents clients in a wide range of issues and disputes arising under statutes, contract, and common law, including in the areas of intellectual property, contractual rights, environmental, real estate, and tort. He also serves as the chair of Arnold & Porter's Pro Bono Committee and maintains a large pro bono practice.
