The National Law Journal Names Amar to 2022 ‘Employment Law Trailblazers’ List

Arnold & Porter partner Dipanwita Deb Amar was named as one of the National Law Journal's 2022 "Employment Law Trailblazers." The special supplement profiles a "list of honorees" that innovate in all areas of labor and employment law.

Amar told the National Law Journal about her recent work with California’s Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA), which has occupied a lot of her time over the past year. She spoke about her recent work for a client that was hit with multiple PAGA suits in multiple courts throughout California. Amar and her team were able to find an efficient way to litigate duplicative matters, but this isn’t an issue that she thinks will be going away any time soon. “Defending PAGA cases has become an out of control mission for California’s employers,” she said.

Amar was also recently named to the Daily Journal's list of "Top Labor & Employment Lawyers," which she has been named to nine times since 2012.
