Arnold & Porter's Government Contracts, International Trade, and Life Sciences Groups Named 2022 Law360 'Practice Groups of the Year'
Arnold & Porter's Government Contracts & National Security, International Trade, and Life Sciences practices were recognized by Law360 as 2022 "Practice Groups of the Year." The annual ranking honors law firms behind the legal work that "resonated throughout the legal industry in the past year."
Arnold & Porter's Government Contracts & National Security group, which was named to the list for the sixth time, was recognized for its high-stakes and precedent setting work over the past year in the litigation, transactional, and regulatory arenas. The honor reflects the combined strategic skills and substantive subject area knowledge of the group's partners, counsel, and associates.
The International Trade group was highlighted for its work advising clients facing complex issues that require sophisticated and creative solutions to navigate risks and maximize opportunities in the global goods and services trade. These issues include representing the largest South Korean steel producer and the 5th largest steel producer in the world, and its affiliates in seven separate proceedings before the US Department of Commerce. Earlier this year, International Trade partner Henry Almond was named to Law360’s 2022 MVP list.
The firm's Life Sciences group was recognized for its sustained commitment to providing creative and integrated support for the industry. It obtained significant results for clients spanning regulatory, transaction, and litigation matters. Earlier this year, LMG Life Sciences Awards awarded the firm "Impact Deal of the Year" for its work advising Novartis on its $1 billion license agreement with BeiGene.
