Arnold & Porter’s cross-practice team has extensive experience defending and advising companies regarding PFAS, including in litigation, regulatory, and legislative matters. We represent multiple clients in complex class action and other toxic tort and environmental litigation related to PFAS bringing to bear our wealth of experience in every aspect of federal and state environmental and toxic tort law. We also represent clients in the first consumer class action and consumer protection false advertising suits related to alleged PFAS in cosmetics, as well as provide regulatory counseling. Additionally, we not only track legislation related to PFAS, but registered lobbyists on our team are able to advocate at the state and federal level on behalf of our clients. Wolverine World Wide, Inc. in three federal putative class action tort lawsuits and more than 200 individual personal injury and property damage lawsuits arising from the alleged presence of PFAS in drinking water in the vicinity of Rockford, Michigan.

Honeywell as lead toxic tort litigation counsel in the defense of a consolidated class action and approximately 54 individual personal injury and property damage suits arising out of the presence of PFOA in the groundwater and municipal water supply in Hoosick Falls, New York. We also serve as environmental counsel regarding former manufacturing facilities now designated as federal or state Superfund sites relating to the presence of PFAS and other chemicals in Hoosick Falls.

Chemours, as lead environmental counsel, on a range of regulatory, enforcement, and litigation matters relating to the presence of chemicals in the Cape Fear River in North Carolina attributable to the client's facility, including a chemical referred to as GenX. We also represent Chemours in litigation, including two putative class actions, and a number of other actions, alleging various damages related to PFAS in drinking water.
