Appellate Representation

We have regularly protected favorable judgments for our clients on appeal, successfully defending jury verdicts, summary judgments, orders compelling arbitration, and early dismissals. Clients have also hired us when the initial results they obtained were disappointing, including excessive damages awards and erroneous legal rulings. In one such case, we substantially reduced the largest award of punitive damages that had ever been awarded in a California single-plaintiff discrimination case after the client's jury loss (handled by another firm). Our appellate work has included high-profile labor disputes and novel disability discrimination issues litigated all the way to the US Supreme Court.
