Brent Ray is a trial lawyer who has first-chaired multiple cases to verdict. He has served as lead counsel in over 25 cases and for numerous Fortune 500 companies across a broad spectrum of industries. Brent has achieved success in nearly every major patent venue, including the Federal Circuit, the International Trade Commission, federal courts in California, Illinois, New York, and Texas, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. His practice has a particular focus on technology, as well as life sciences and medical devices.

A significant amount of Brent’s time is devoted to pro bono civil rights litigation, and he has partnered with ACLU, National Center for Lesbian Rights, and Lambda Legal on a variety of high impact cases. He is an Adjunct Professor at Chicago-Kent School of Law teaching advanced Legal Writing focused on intellectual property issues and is a member of the trial bar of the Northern District of Illinois.
