Please join us in welcoming Bill Efron to our Consumer Protection & Advertising practice as a partner, resident in New York. Bill focuses on consumer protection and antitrust, with an emphasis on government investigations, litigation, and merger reviews.
Bill’s practice will include consumer protection investigations, government enforcement actions, private litigation, merger clearance, and anticompetitive conduct matters. Bill brings deep senior government experience in both consumer protection and antitrust. As Director of the FTC’s Northeast Region, he was responsible for the investigation and litigation of consumer protection matters. On behalf of the FTC’s Bureau of Consumer Protection, Bill oversaw complex cases involving a range of alleged unfair, deceptive, and fraudulent practices, including deceptive internet marketing, unauthorized billing, misleading earnings claims, false advertising online, and credit card laundering. He also led and supervised prominent antitrust merger and conduct investigations for the FTC’s Bureau of Competition.
Bill’s tenure at the FTC, coupled with his deep experience in both consumer protection and antitrust, enhances our practice’s capabilities and reinforces our dedication to serving our clients in highly complex matters. We look forward to the valuable contributions Bill will make to our firm and to our clients.
