Part II: Ethical Considerations and Establishing and Maintaining Privileges

Our second webinar in this series explores ethical considerations and best practices for establishing and maintaining privilege in investigations specific to life sciences companies. Key topics include the attorney-client privilege and the work product doctrine, investigation protocols, the roles of in-house and outside counsel, ethical considerations regarding individual representations, the common interest/joint defense doctrine and interactions with third parties. We will discuss the importance of defining the investigation's scope and objectives, allocation of responsibilities, interactions with witnesses, and tips to avoid waiver of privilege.
