Hawke Quoted in The Wall Street Journal on GameStop Stock Surge

Securities and Enforcement Litigation partner Daniel M. Hawke was quoted in a recent article from The Wall Street Journal, "GameStop Surge Tests Scope of SEC's Manipulation Rules." The article discusses the SEC's response to the rally in shares from GameStop and other stocks due to a spike in investment from retail investors.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hawke served for sixteen years at the SEC, including more than ten years as a Senior Officer in the Division of Enforcement. As the first chief of the Enforcement Division's Market Abuse Unit, a national specialized enforcement unit that investigates trading, market manipulation and market structure violations, Mr. Hawke supervised numerous significant SEC enforcement actions involving complex, hard-to-detect trading abuse. He also served as Director of the SEC's Philadelphia Regional Office for eight years.
