Marotta Quoted in Law360 on the CHIPS Act

Legislative & Public Policy senior associate Marne Marotta was quoted in the recent Law360 article, “CHIPS Act Marks One Step In A Long Race With China.” The article discusses the recent bill Congress passed that dedicates $52 billion for semiconductor production and the increasing competition between China and the United States.
Marotta was quoted discussing an area of the bill which would place “guard rails” on CHIPS Act awards by prohibiting recipients of CHIPS Act funding from making “significant investments” in China for 10 years from the date of award.
