Pippins Named to The National Law Journal’s 2021 DC Rising Stars List
Arnold & Porter partner Raqiyyah Pippins, who co-leads the firm’s Consumer Products & Retail industry team, was named to The National Law Journal's 2021 "DC Rising Stars" list. The annual accolade honors attorneys who have developed “unique practice niches, secure wins for clients, cultivate robust books of business and demonstrate strong leadership qualities.” In the supplement, honored attorneys share their biggest successes in practice, keys to their success, and lessons they've learned while practicing law.
Pippins, who focuses her practice in the areas of FDA's regulation of food, dietary supplement, cosmetic, drug and medical-device products sold directly to consumers as well as FTC and state regulation of the marketing and sale of consumer products, said one of her proudest accomplishments is her work partnering with Arnold & Porter to “address racial equity issues both in and outside of law firms.” This work includes her work helping to establish the firm’s partnership with the National Bar Association on a project designed to support the retention, and accelerate the advancement, of Black attorneys.
This past year Pippins also worked on the firm’s partnerships with A Better Chance to launch a three-year partnership to help promote the number of diverse students who are interested in pursuing a career in law and the Advancement Project to fight systemic racism in schools.
Earlier this year, Pippins was named to the Washington Business Journal’s 2021 '40 Under 40' List, which highlighted Pippins for her “impressive” client list that “includes some of the largest US retailers, global personal care product companies and Fortune 500 players.”
