Arnold & Porter Recognized With NLADA’s 2024 Beacon of Justice Award

The National Legal Aid & Defender Association (NLADA) recently recognized Arnold & Porter with its 2024 Beacon of Justice Award for the firm’s pro bono efforts addressing issues related to civil and human rights. The firm received the recognition during the 2024 NLADA Exemplar Awards Gala.

Firms honored with the Beacon of Justice Award have “demonstrated an understanding of the interconnected nature of social categorizations such as race, gender, religion, sexual orientation and other characteristics that may create interdependent systems of discrimination or disadvantage.”

The NLADA recognition reflects Arnold & Porter's sustained commitment to pro bono work. The firm was recently recognized by the District of Columbia Courts, which named 203 Arnold & Porter lawyers to their 13th annual Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll. The firm also was named a top 10 firm in the 2023 Law360 Pulse Leaderboard, as well as one of the top 5 firms for social impact and one of the top 2 firms for pro bono in the 2023 Law360 Pulse Social Impact Leaders report. The firm was also named one of the top 5 firms for its national pro bono work and one of the top 10 firms for its international pro bono work in The American Lawyer's 2023 “Pro Bono Scorecard.”
