Arnold & Porter Announces Newly Created Role of Chief Practice Innovation Officer and Announces New Chief Business Development and Marketing Officer

New York-based Director of Practice Management, Lauren Giordani, Promoted to CPIO Washington, D.C.-based Director of Business Development, Randi Weiss, Promoted to CBDMO

WASHINGTON, D.C. and NEW YORK, January 7, 2025 — Arnold & Porter is pleased to announce that Lauren Giordani has been appointed as the firm’s first Chief Practice Innovation Officer (CPIO) and Randi Weiss has been promoted to the firm’s Chief Business Development and Marketing Officer (CBDMO).

Giordani’s new role reflects the firm’s ongoing commitment to innovation and recognizes the important role innovation plays in delivering superior client service. She will be responsible for creating a systematic, formalized approach to drive innovation throughout the firm. For the past 10 years, Giordani has served as Director of Practice Management, overseeing a team of Practice Managers who are responsible for the operations, staffing needs, and technology and resource priorities for the firm’s key practice areas.

Giordani expressed her enthusiasm for the new role, stating: “I am honored to serve as the first Chief Practice Innovation Officer and to work alongside such a talented and dedicated team. Weiss will oversee strategic initiatives that deepen client engagement, boost market visibility, and drive business growth. She has three decades of experience in legal and professional services marketing and served as the firm’s Director of Business Development for the past eight years, where she directed and managed business growth activities for many of the firm’s regulatory and litigation practices.
